Be Happy

कुछ इस तरह मैंने ज़िन्दगी को आसान कर लिया,
किसी से मांग ली माफ़ी, किसी को माफ़ कर दिया…
-मिर्ज़ा ग़ालिब

Mirja galib in these lines of poetry has summarised the crux of life. I feel this is a mantra to be happy. Many a times in life we continue to carry a huge burden of guilt and also avoid some people or believe in taking revenge against them.
Galib says, if you wish to remain happy then learn the technique of forgetting the people who have harmed you or to apologise to the one whom you feel are angry or are offended by your actions.

Many a times we continue to carry people in our heads believing that we will teach them lesson, when get chance. I feel the karma always comes back to us. Those who were at the helm of affairs once upon a time are no where today. It’s all in mind. If we wish to remain happy then it’s on us. Happiness is a state of mind. Many may differ but this is what I feel, believe and practice.

Gratitude: POLICE DEPARTMENT

Gratitude: POLICE DEPARTMENT

"Remember us, we shall be there to protect you under all circumstances because we have taken pledge to do so." Ravinder Singal

Little awkward! what and how to write about my own department. But trust me this department has worked very hard and from bottom of its heart. The image of police department we see since birth is differently projected everywhere from home, to cinema, to media and in the society.
But, this pandemic has shown how our police department has worked during this crisis period. They did not care about their own families and their own self. They selflessly worked for the society. Not only this, they tried to convince people how important it was to stay inside their homes. In the line of duty many of our police personnel lost their lives. They were attacked, beaten and abused but they fought and still fighting and convincing people how important it is to fight against this virus together.
Today, you will see them on the roads, hospitals, colonies and everywhere. They are helping people, boosting the morale of people with only one aim and that is to stop the spread of the deadly virus, 'CORONA.'

Today let us all rise together and appreciate the role being played by our own force. Let us all SALUTE the courage and the dedication shown by our own police force.

GRATITUDE: Doctors and medical staff

GRATITUDE: Doctors and medical staff
As a police officer, I have seen in number of cases where doctors have been attacked. I don't want to go into the details and restrict my comments to the difficult situations like the one we are facing today.
Today, I find the doctor community and the health staff to be on the forefront. They are truly justifying, "The Hippocratic Oath."
The Hippocratic Oath is an oath of ethics historically taken by physicians. It is one of the most widely known of Greek medical texts. In its original form, it requires a new physician to swear, by a number of healing gods, to uphold specific ethical standards.
They are doing their best to save the life of patients in the best possible way. We are seeing this world wide. In many cases because of paucity of staff they have been working for hours together without even sleep. In some cases, doctors have lost their lives fighting the corona. There are instances where they have been asked to vacate the rented accommodations but their morale is not shaken. Because they believed the call of duty to be supreme. Today, they have only one agenda and that is to save the lives of people who are fighting against CORONA. They are over stretching themselves and doing their best.
Let us all salute them and express gratitude.

Gratitude towards sanitary staff

GRATITUDE: SANITARY STAFF
Today, I wish express my gratitude towards the whole sanitary staff who is engaged in cleaning activities even during this time of pandemic (CORONA). I find that they have not given up their duties and every day they come and collect the garbage, clean the streets and check whether the drainage system is working well or not. They are our heroes but many a times we take services for guarantee.
This is the time when we should thank them and ask them if they are fine. Merely asking them, if they are doing well will boost their morale. This reminds me of the movie named, "Munnabhai MBBS" wherein the main actor hugs a cleaning person. They don't expect this but merely thanking them will suffice.
Just think.

Gratitude

Gratitude:
Some people only look for negatives in others. They may not realise the real facts because they are not empathising. This happens many a times, such as our views about police personnel or the auto rickshaw drivers. Many people feel that all the auto rickshaw drivers cheat. They charge more and deceive. Think from the perspective of an auto rickshaw driver. He gets up in the morning and many a times work throughout the night. Ultimately he earns about 500/600 bucks. Out of which he has to pay back to owner of the auto as rent. He spends on petrol and many have the bad habits of chewing tobacco, smoking etc. Ultimately he returns back home and has to take care of groceries, education of children, festivals and much more. Do we think about all this?
Just think about this and place yourself in his shoes. All auto drivers are not the same. I have seen many who have returned gold ornaments, money and other precious things left by the passengers in their autos.
I would only say, we must see things from their perspective also and analyse. This is true about many more things. Change your view point, many things will change.
Just my view, people may differ but that's ok.
